HISTORY OF MID VALLEY ARTS    LEAGUE               HOME

The initial meeting was arranged in June of 1953, and a name was selected in August. The first Art Festival at the West Arcadia Hub shopping area was held in May of 1958, and the first Eastland Art Fete in July  of the same year

The League was incorporated in 1959. Shortly after the incorporation there was a revision of the Constitution and Bylaws in order to clarify the duties of the Officers and Board Members. As a result, reorganization of the league took place  in October 1960. The Constitution was revised again in 1994 to reflect changes in the  makeup of the Board and to clarify ambiguous content.
